IMBC adds design and engineering focusPosted on
The Association of Marina Industries added a marina design and engineering track to focused breakout sessions during its annual International Marina & Boatyard Conference.
The track will debut Jan. 29-31 at the next IMBC at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.
“We have a number of attendees looking for content specifically focused on design and engineering,” AMI chairman Gary Groenewold said in a statement. “We added this track to meet the needs of our members and the industry and to grow our attendee base.”
Other breakout tracks include coastal, inland, and boatyard and service topics.
Sessions within the marina design and engineering track will focus on the engineer’s approach to marina design, wind load capacity, and fire and safety techniques. Other breakout topics at IMBC include integrating marinas with multiuse recreational facilities, marina construction contracting and an update on copper concentrations in fresh water.
