Lauderdale show website offers Spanish translation

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show’s website is now being translated into Spanish.

Show Management, which produces the show for the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, has made the show’s entire website available in Spanish.

“We’re updating the websites with Spanish and English and continuing the outreach to different groups,” Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III, chairman and CEO of Active Interest Media, which owns Show Management, told Trade Only Today.

Show Management is offering information on all of the shows it produces in Spanish, including the St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show, the Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach, the Suncoast Boat Show and the Palm Beach International Boat Show.

In addition to the website changes, the show’s app, MyBoatShow, will feature improvements. The new version is tablet-supported, has a cleaner look and supports iOS and Android, Show Management marketing director Steve Sheer said.

The new app also will flag the actual location a user is looking for on the map, as well as providing the booth or dock number. It will also be faster-loading and users won’t have to “check for updates” because the latest information is fed directly into the app. The new generation of MyBoatShow should be ready by mid-October.

  1. Buy American

Why not Chinese too? since a large number of our boats are made in china and most of the money is now coming from China to buy our country, we should be considerate of our benefactors.
