Taylor Made Systems will debut frameless windshields at IBEXPosted on
Taylor Made Systems will unveil its next-generation Eclipse-series frameless windshields for sport- and towboats next week at the 2013 International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference in Louisville, Ky.
The company is enhancing the product line it introduced in 2006 with the integration of vertical supports and headers that match the glass look of the company’s flush-glazed base mounting system. Taylor said that results in a sleeker look without sacrificing structural integrity.
“We listened to our boatbuilder customers, who wanted to see less exposed framework and more glass surface,” Taylor Made vice president of sales and marketing Mike Oathout said in a statement. “With our new enhanced Eclipse windshields we’ve accomplished exactly that, creating a design that has truly frameless automotive styling while providing the robust structure needed in the sport and tow boat marketplace.”
Designed for sport and towboats in the 18- to 28-foot range, the Taylor Made frameless windshields are available as either solid single-piece windshields or with a center-opening door to the foredeck.
“We were the first to introduce automotive styling into marine windshields and we’re committed to staying at the forefront of the technology with an ongoing proactive approach to R&D to meet changing consumer preferences,” Oathout said.
