International Superyacht Society breakfast set for Lauderdale

Posted on

The International Superyacht Society will focus on engaging first-time superyacht clients in today’s economy during its annual breakfast presentation on Oct. 30 in Fort Lauderdale.

The presentation is part of the annual ISS membership meeting and will be moderated by Diane Byrne of MegayachtNews.com.

Panelists include industry and non-industry executives, who will discuss finance, promotion lessons from successful tourism and destination marketing and innovative luxury product outreach. Their commentary will cover the following categories:

• Yachting, an Economic Engine: an overview of who today’s superyacht owners are, what they’re worth and what they spend their money on in terms of leisure;

• Yachting as a Lifestyle: promoting superyacht ownership and cruising as an idea and ideal, versus a product;

• Marketing Reimagined: consumer-outreach strategies successfully adopted by non-yachting brands and lessons from strategies that didn’t work.

The meeting will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Grande View Room at the Bahia Mar hotel.
