FLIBS 2013: Rec Boat Holdings unveils new modelsPosted on
Rec Boat Holdings LLC debuted three new models Thursday at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and another that has been updated with new graphics and interiors.
The Four Winns Horizon 290, Glastron GT187 and the all-new Scarab 195 were displayed for the first time at a consumer show. The company’s Wellcraft brand also introduced several models with completely new interiors and refreshed graphics.
The 29-foot Four Winns sportboat features an oversized bow with chaise lounge seating that has adjustable headrests and integrated armrests. The cockpit features a curved windshield and high chine architecture. The Horizon 290 has a changing room and a starboard berth.
The expansion of jetboats was recently announced, along with the company’s new Scarab brand, to include the new GT187 for Glastron. The Rotax-powered jetboat, the first of a series of models to roll out in 2014, features a modified hull design. The interior is redesigned at the stern to add more seating space and a low-profile swim platform. Power options range from 150 to 250 hp. The 2014 model year also adds the all-new GT245, the largest bowrider model for the brand.
There are three Scarab jet models to choose from in the 19-foot platform. The standard model is a runabout designed to attract the new jet buyer. The Scarab HO provides a higher horsepower engine from the standard model. The Impulse features more graphics and features. Rotax power provides horsepower ranging from 200 to 250 hp.
The redesigned Wellcraft is part of a new interior strategy the company plans to continue across all models throughout the 2014 model year.
“We are extremely proud to be showing so much new product at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show,” Rec Boat Holdings group president Roch Lambert said in a statement. “We have set aggressive goals for this show, and with the best dealers in this market representing our brands I’m confident we’ll achieve positive results.”
