Posted on

Anders Ebbeson, owner of RV and marine industry marketing firm InterCon Marketing, died on Nov. 19. He was 68.

Originally from Sweden, Ebbeson lived in Sarasota, Fla. He attended Lund University, studying business administration, and served in the Swedish military before he began an extraordinary career as an entrepreneur, according to an obituary in the Sarasota Herald Tribune.

As a young salesman for the Ebbeson family corporation, he perpetuated a successful business legacy in the United States.

From early patented products such as camping beds and outdoor furniture to marine stoves and car safety equipment, the Ebbeson family made their global mark on diverse industries.

Ebbeson’s love of sailing around the world, particularly in the Swedish archipelagoes, was shared by his wife, Katherine.

The family said that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.

Anders will be missed by so many in our industry. He was a good person with a generous spirit. Our industry was well served by his desire to bring good products to our marketplace.
Anders always believed in doing things in a first class manner. My prayers go out to his family.
