Sea Tow signs deal with new online marine retailerPosted on
Sea Tow Services International has announced a partnership with the new online boating and marine supplies retailer Built for Boating.
Sea Tow said the partnership provides exclusive discounts and other benefits to registered Sea Tow members when they shop for marine products on Built for Boating’s website and adds another venue where boaters can purchase a Sea Tow Gold Card membership.
Built for Boating was founded by Jay Jolly, drawing on his more than 25 years of experience in leading national outdoor retail outlets as former vice president of Boater’s World (which was closed when parent firm Ritz Camera shut down in 2009) and general manager of Outer Banks Outfitters.
BFB offers a full line of boating equipment, electronics and accessories at what Sea Tow said are the low prices that built Jolly’s reputation in the marine industry. After a successful six-month beta testing and rollout period, BFB’s online store has launched nationwide in conjunction with the announcement of its partnership with Sea Tow.
When Jolly was at Boater’s World, he formed a similar alliance with Sea Tow that offered special benefits to Sea Tow members and generated thousands of new memberships.
“Jay has always been a strong Sea Tow supporter,” Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer, founder and CEO of Sea Tow, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, said in a statement. “When he soft-launched Built for Boating earlier this year, one of his first calls was to Sea Tow. We are excited to be a part of his new venture and to offer special savings to our members that exceed what they can get at other marine retail outlets. What’s more, they won’t have to fill out any forms or wait to get their discount.”
