Hispanic outreach effort among RBFF’s plans for 2014Posted on
The Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation is looking to launch the second phase of its Disney partnership with Take Me Fishing branded excursions at the Walt Disney World Resort in 2014 as well as launch its Hispanic outreach plan in pilot states Texas and Florida.
The RBFF highlighted 2013 accomplishments in its most recent newsletter, discussing the 2013 Special Report on Fishing and Boating, which showed that fishing has hit an all-time high, with women and young people leading the growth.
The RBFF also discussed a new five-year grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that will allow the group to continue building participation in boating and fishing.
The RBFF also published new research showing that first-time anglers are twice as likely to lapse as repeat anglers, which will help shape the group’s state marketing programs and retention efforts.
The group also published state marketing workshop resources from the workshop held Dec. 10-12 in Phoenix. In all, 115 people and 45 state agencies attended, making the workshop the largest to date.
All of the content from the workshop, ranging from the Discover Boating presentation given by Kelly Kaylor to seminar content, is available online.
