Industry mourns former SeaArk Boats VP

Longtime boating industry sales executive Richard L. “Dick” Dickinson recently died in Little Rock, Ark. He was 77.

Dickinson, who died Oct. 30, was vice president of sales at SeaArk Boats before retiring in 2008. He spent many years as the sales manager for MonArk Boat Co.

Dickinson also worked at Polar Kraft during his career, according to a letter from SeaArk Boats president Robin McClendon.

Dickinson graduated in 1959 from Arkansas A&M (now UAM) with a business degree, according to his obituary.

His hobbies included deer and duck hunting.

    I met Dick back in the 80′s and I considered him a real gentleman and mentor. He was always willing to share his knowledge and friendship. He forgot more about the aluminum boat business than most will ever know. Rest easy my friend.
