Marine electronics and support company Martek of Palm Beach named industry veteran Martin Bader as its new chief financial officer.

Bader will be responsible for all financial operations of the Stuart, Fla.-based company, which designs, installs and services electronics aboard superyachts and other vessels in the United States and abroad.

“Marty’s broad-based experience as a finance professional gives him a solid platform for the job of chief financial officer,” Martek of Palm Beach president David Gratton said in a statement. “He has a wealth of business skills that will help Martek of Palm Beach capitalize on new business opportunities now and in the years ahead. We’re glad to welcome Marty to the management team.”

Bader has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from New York University and is a certified public accountant. He brings 41 years of management experience and business leadership to his new position.

From 2007-2013, Bader was CFO of OceanView Technologies, a manufacturer of high-tech night vision equipment for the marine industry. From 1999-2013, he served as CFO and CEO of VEI Technologies, the parent company of OceanView Technologies. For 10 years before that, he was CEO and chairman of Technodyne.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join a world-class operation like Martek of Palm Beach,” Bader said. “I look forward to lending my sales, financial and management experience to a skilled and respected team of industry professionals.”
