Pat Stevens, owner of Grand Pointe Marina of Dimondale, Mich., was inducted into the Michigan Boating Industries Association Hall of Fame.

The presentation was made Dec. 5 at the Recreational Boating Educational Conference held in Lansing.

“Stevens has been recognized for his longevity and promotion of recreational boating,” the MBIA’s Nicki Polan said in a statement. “He’s been a member of the MBIA for more than 36 years and is a great contributor to our industry. He attributes his success to joining groups like MBIA and business relationships to being a successful business long-term.”

“Pat’s actions and business platform allows boaters of all ages, experience and income levels to enjoy recreational boating in Michigan,” said son Chris Stevens, who nominated his father for the award. “Grand Pointe Marina has been a constant standard in the boat sales, service and storage business for decades. His customers have come to enjoy and expect a top-quality boating experience.”

The trade group said Grand Pointe Marina opened in 1968 and is one of few that have been part of Boating Industry’s Top 100 for several years. The marina is an exhibitor at the trade group’s Detroit Boat Show, the Spring Boating Expo and the Boating & Outdoor Festival.
