Posted on

The Progressive Insurance Atlanta Boat Show will open Thursday and continue through Sunday at the Georgia World Congress Center on Andrew Young International Boulevard.

Show manager Larry Berryman said in a statement that the event “continues to expand and we’re excited to be offering the largest selection of boats and exhibitors we’ve had since 2009. This growth is a great sign for the industry, which supports nearly 6,000 jobs and 700 boating-related businesses in Georgia.”

Organizers said there will be more than 500 boats on display, ranging from 9 to more than 50 feet. More than 200 exhibitors will be offering the latest gear and gadgets. Discover Boating’s Welcome to the Water Center will offer advice about selecting a boat and boating on a budget.

Other features include Fred’s Shed, with its interactive learning center and do-it-yourself seminars, and the Let’s Go Fishing Center, with hourly seminars led by professional anglers.

Show hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is $12 for those age 16 and older. Youths 15 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Visitors who buy tickets in advance online will receive $2 off through Wednesday.
