Atlanta show reports six-year attendance highPosted on
The Progressive Insurance Atlanta Boat Show wrapped up Sunday with attendance up 25 percent from 2013 in the best-attended Atlanta show since 2008.
Opening Thursday, the show started strong and the momentum continued throughout the weekend, with mild weather and heavy media coverage helping to drive attendance, organizers said.
“This year we had the highest attendance in six years and are thrilled the show produced heavy traffic, and more important, buyers to our exhibitors. We hope the boat show results are a positive sign for Georgia boating and the industry,” show manager Larry Berryman said in a statement.
Exhibitors are also reporting positive outcomes.
“Our Wahoo Docks and Shoremaster Lifts booths both had great success this year,” said John Pack of Wahoo Docks. “Sales are up, customers have a positive outlook and the year is already off to a great start. We will be busy over the few next weeks following up on the many leads that we gained here at the show. The Atlanta Boat Show is one of the best things that we have done for our business.”
“The quality of attendees was amazing. Saturday’s attendance was incredible and we are really pleased with the results of the show,” said Scott Cunningham of Singleton Marine Group.
“We had record sales at this year’s show and we doubled what we sold last year,” said Rob Broadfoot of Bum Float.
