Early registration numbers up for IMBC

Posted on

Preregistration for the International Marina & Boatyard Conference, which will take place Jan. 29-31 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, is up 6 percent compared with 2013.

“We are happy with registration numbers to date,” Association of Marina Industries chairman Gary Groenewold said in a statement. “It’s a sign of the growing economy and positive changes we’ve made to the show.” AMI produces the show.

Additions and changes to IMBC include a fourth breakout track dedicated to marine engineering topics, a marina design course co-planned with the American Society of Civil Engineers, new product demonstrations and a rebranded exhibit hall business center.

Attendees also will be encouraged to actively participate and be engaged in sessions, creating industry trends, and develop meaningful networking conversations through the IMBC’s new Visual Trends Board, a hands-on keynote follow-up session and the new Marina Trends exhibit.
