Hartford and Baltimore shows open todayPosted on
The 45th annual CMTA Hartford Boat Show and the 60th annual Baltimore Boat Show start today and will run through the weekend.
The Hartford Boat Show, sponsored by the Connecticut Marine Trades Association, will open at 4 p.m. at the Connecticut Convention Center with nearly 70 boat brands on display, along with dozens of marinas, marine services and accessories companies.
Celebrity guests at the show include the captains from the National Geographic Channel reality show “Wicked Tuna” — Capt. Dave Carraro, deckhand Sandro Maniaci and Capt. Paul Hebert.
Show hours are 4-9 p.m. today, noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $12 for adults; children under 12 will be admitted free with an adult.
To the south, the 2014 Progressive Insurance Baltimore Boat Show celebrates 60 years as one of the Chesapeake Bay region’s largest boat shows, opening at 11 a.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Three hundred boats ranging from 10 to 35 feet will be on display, along with marine services and accessories companies.
R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere of the History Channel reality show “Swamp People” will appear at the boat show.
Show hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is $12 for adults and free for kids 15 and under.
