Mid-America Boat Show returns this monthPosted on
From “Props & Hops” to “Wicked Tuna,” the 2014 Progressive Insurance Mid-America Boat Show will be held Jan. 16-20 in Cleveland’s I-X Center with longer hours, more exhibits and new features.
Building on last year’s repositioning from a traditional boat show to Ohio’s biggest winter boating event, this year’s show will open earlier, stay open later and will cover nearly 20 percent more exhibit space with more than 350 boats as large as 45 feet.
The Mid-America Boat Show also will include events such as “Put-In-Bay” Thursday, with Lake Erie Island food and live entertainment, “Hops and Props” Friday, featuring samples from 10 Ohio craft brewers, interactive floating “Water Rollerz” and the Capt’n Willie Pirate Stage Shows for children, show manager Ken Alvey said in a statement.
TV’s “Wicked Tuna” star Tyler McLaughlin also will be on hand all weekend.
Seminars include more than 50 cruising, maintenance, cooking and fishing programs, such as the Future Angler Foundation’s Kids Fishing Clinic.
