ABBRA sets service course for Maine in MarchPosted on
The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association is partnering with the Maine Marine Trades Association to offer its three-day Marine Service Manager course from March 4-6 at The Landing School in Arundel.
The course is a main requirement for managers who want to become an ABBRA certified marine service manager.
“Our MSM program is always well-received and we as a national group have found that working with local partners helps ensure its success,” ABBRA executive director Gordon Connell said in a statement. “Our instructors offer boatyard managers and individuals preparing for leadership roles in boatyards a good understanding of their responsibilities and the best management practices that are expected in well-run facilities.”
Connell said the course is returning to Maine after one in 2012 that had a full class of 25 students and another last year in Rhode Island that had 20.
“Registration is going strong, and we anticipate a full complement again in 2014,” he said.
