Boutique show returns to Connecticut in MayPosted on
SailQuest Boat Show Cos. said the Mystic (Conn.) Shipyard will be the site of its annual boutique boat show, which will be held May 2-4.
The family-oriented show, which has been held in Connecticut shoreline towns since 2008, will feature new sailboats, trawlers, Down East-style powerboats, kayaks, paddleboards and select brokerage yachts for sale from 12 to more than 50 feet. Mystic Shipyard is offering free parking and free show admission.
“We are excited to bring SailQuest back to the Mystic Shipyard,” Tom Pilkington of Prestige Yacht Sales in Norwalk, Conn., said in a statement. “Boutique shows give our clients the opportunity to view their favorite brands without the crowds and hassles of the big fall shows. Mystic offers many attractions and is known for its special place in maritime history. Having the show in early May makes SailQuest the kickoff to the boating season.”
The docks at the shipyard will showcase brands that include Catalina, Bavaria, Jeanneau, Hunter, Lagoon, Beneteau, Minor Offshore, Nordic Tug, Hunt, Blue Jacket and Southport. Organizers said more will be announced.
