Cummins names commercial marine GMPosted on
Cummins named Jim Schacht general manager of its commercial marine business.
Working in close cooperation with the Cummins distributor network, Schacht will be responsible for all commercial marine business activities for the Engine Business Unit globally, including business development and support, the company said.
“The importance of the commercial marine market to Cummins has increased significantly over the past several years,” Schacht said in a statement. “We will continue to invest in our people, products and services to help our customers succeed in this increasingly demanding market segment.”
Schacht joined Cummins in 2010 as the executive director of Cummins Business Services and was responsible for accounting, customer care, human resources and information technology services to Cummins operating entities worldwide.
He replaces Jenny Bush, who will become president of Cummins Mid-South, the exclusive distributor of the company’s products in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi and portions of Florida, Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee.
