Deep Impact Boats CEO: ‘We cleaned house’

Posted on

Deep Impact Boats said it is making significant personnel changes and received backing from an unnamed private investor.

“We cleaned house. Several of our former employees are no longer with us,” Deep Impact CEO Lazaro Hernandez said in a statement. “We needed to work on our production and had to play catch-up.”

Changes in management from the top down are the reason Deep Impact is “a serious player once again,” a company statement read. Deep Impact said it is getting back to basics with what it called “an extreme focus on customer satisfaction.”

The company confirmed that it received a cash infusion from a private investor, but did not name the entity.

“We had our share of tough times, bad decisions, inferior tooling and lack of organization and we are still working it out, but our loyal customers that have remained with us are going to be very pleased with what we are doing to correct our problems,” Hernandez said.

“It’s time to be proactive versus reactive,” said Randall Truesdale, the company’s newly appointed sales, technology and marketing director.

The Sexy Lamborghini Orange Poker Run Edition 399 Quad Open, built in conjunction with Mark Fischer, the owner of Boats Direct USA, will be at the Feb. 13-17 Miami International Boat Show.

The company said the “Beautiful Ebony Piano Black & White 399 Triple Mercury Verado 350 SCI’s powered Cabin” and the “Turquoise & Brilliant Silver Sultry 360 Triple 300 Mercury Verado Powered Open” also will be shown in Miami.
