New Jersey show returns in two weeksPosted on
The 2014 New Jersey Boat Sale & Expo will be held Feb. 20-23 at the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center in Edison.
The Marine Trades Association of New Jersey said more than 30 of the state’s finest dealers will feature the area’s first showing of the industry’s 2014 product lines.
MTA/NJ executive director Melissa Danko said that “being able to compare various boats in a comfortable setting and speaking with all of the dealers is a great help in getting to the right decision that fits your needs and your budget.”
She said “this is especially helpful for the first time buyer, who has questions and is searching for good answers.”
The show also will feature displays of marine equipment, accessories, trailers, water toys, outboard motors, marine services, marinas, boatyards, electronics, finance and insurance, clothing and gear.
On all four days of the show, seminars presented by On The Water Magazine will cover topics that include discussions about how to catch more and bigger striped bass, fluke and other inshore species.
Children will be able to explore displays at the Expo’s Kids Cove on Feb. 22 and 23 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., learning about marine life, fishing and on-the-water boating skills. A Marine Safety Cove will feature a children’s boating safety session with coloring books, stickers and an attendance certificate.
Show hours are: Feb. 20 and 21, noon to 8 p.m.; Feb. 22, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Feb. 23, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Because the show is conducted by the MTA/NJ, whose mission is to promote, advance and protect the recreational boating industry in New Jersey, admission is only $6; children 16 and younger are free when accompanied by an adult.
Parking will be free and all ticket purchases will include a free registration to the Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament at the show.
