The 2014 Blue Wild Ocean Adventure and Marine Art Expo will take place Feb. 22-23 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale.

Dubbed the diving event of the year, the expo features underwater events that include freediving, scuba, spearfishing, marine art, safety, photography, videography and product demos.

The lineup features 22 speakers, including Herbert Nitsch, “the deepest man on Earth,” who broke 33 world records for freediving to a 702-foot depth; Stan Waterman, a five-time Emmy Award-winning cinematographer whose films include a documentary of a year-long trip to Tahiti that was aired on National Geographic; and Sheri Caye, a Freedive Spearfishing national champion who holds multiple world records and is producing and hosting the expo.

The show also will feature 15 marine artists, including Carey Chen, whose wall-size murals are on display in many of the world’s fishing destinations, including St. Thomas, Venezuela and Miami; Pascal Lecocq, who has been exhibiting work across the United States and Europe for 30 years; and Susannah Waterman, who grew up diving with her father, Stan, and has studios in East Hampton, N.Y., and Sargentville, Maine.
