American Boating Congress sees growth in co-hostsPosted on
The American Boating Congress has already attracted 36 co-hosts, five more than the final tally for the spring event last year on Capitol Hill.
Co-hosts contribute time and expertise to developing ABC programming and encourage members to attend and participate.
“[The National Marine Manufacturers Association] is thrilled to once again see a growing number of organizations from across a broad industry spectrum partnering for this important event,” NMMA president Thom Dammrich said in a statement.
“Advocacy opportunities like ABC begin with each one of us. By joining forces we can use ABC to reach a much broader congressional representation, educating them about the significant impact that recreational boating has on the U.S. economy and other important issues affecting our businesses, employees and customers.”
Although the complete agenda is in development, ABC will once again feature prominent policy-makers to discuss industry-specific issues. Registration is open. When two or more people register at the same time they will receive a $25 discount off each registration.
The 36 co-hosts include the NMMA, the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas and Soundings Trade Only.
ABC will held May 5-7 in Washington, D.C. Groups interested in becoming co-hosts may contact the NMMA.
