Ferretti Group will mark anniversary at China show

The 19th China (Shanghai) International Boat Show opens Thursday and will continue through Sunday at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

More than 500 exhibitors will display yachts, maritime projects and nautical equipment and the show will feature national pavilions organized by the U.S., Italian, Australian and Spanish governments, along with the Taiwan Regional Pavilion.

The event is the top boat show in Asia in terms of scale, the number of exhibitors and visitors and the business that is done. In addition to providing a platform for products, the show explores opportunities to popularize the maritime lifestyle and yachting culture.

The Ferretti Group will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the group’s launch in China at the show. Ferretti opened its first China office in Shanghai and the Italian luxury motoryacht builder has since expanded its operations in the Asia Pacific region, developing what it said is a strong team at the local level and a widespread dealer network capable of providing efficient before and after-sales service.

At this year’s show, the spotlight will be on the Riva Iseo. Ferretti said the yacht is one of the latest designed with the Riva brand and will be shown for the first time in the Asian market in a reserved area.

Ferretti said that during the show it will announce the opening in July of its first showroom in mainland China at Shanghai’s prestigious Mandarin Oriental in the heart of the financial district and the international shopping area.
