Lake Erie trade group elects officers and directorsPosted on
Veteran boat dealer John Clemons of Clemons Boats in Sandusky, Ohio, was elected chairman of the Lake Erie Marine Trades Association at its recent annual meeting.
Clemons will succeed Bob Ivancic of Ivancic Marine in Cleveland, who has served three terms as chairman. He will remain on the board of trustees as the immediate past chairman.
Along with Clemons, other officers elected include: first vice chairman Tom Mack (South Shore Marine, Huron); second vice chairman Jim Armington (Buckeye Sports Center, Peninsula); secretary Bruce Roberts (Harbor North, Huron); and treasurer Bill Schaeffer (Beaver Park Marina, Lorain).
Three seats on the 11-member board of trustees were also up for election. New trustees elected are: Rocky Piacentino (Catawba Moorings Marina, Port Clinton); Gary Tennefoss (Ravenna Marine, Ravenna); and John Sima (Sima Marine, Eastlake), who was elected to an eighth consecutive two-year term.
The last two board members are Todd Armstrong (Boat Masters Marine, Akron) and John Schroeder (Happy Days Boating, Port Clinton). They will serve the second year of their two-year terms.
