Matthews Boat group plans to relaunch

Posted on

Matthews Boat Owners Association, which said it has been dormant since the passing of its former administrator in 2012, contracted with the management company J&M Business Solutions LLC to help it begin to rebuild.

The association said it launched a successful membership campaign in February, along with a fresh issue of The MBOA Log, the association’s newsletter. The group now also has a revamped website and Facebook group.

The association said its reorganization has already received a tremendous show of support from former members who are anxious to reconnect and share their stories.

The association’s 2013-14 board of trustees are: Deb Schoman, executive director, Northeast; Bob Galeota Jr., Lake St. Clair and St. Clair River; Randy Hart, Great Lakes; Fred Lemerand, Great Lakes; Randy Mueller, Pacific NW; Stuart Sherk, Mid Atlantic; and Irv Usner.

“I want to express my sincere thanks to the trustees who have been dedicated to this process and we are indeed excited about the relaunch of this wonderful organization,” Schoman said in a statement.

The association said it is seeking new members and is open to ideas or suggestions, including articles and photos for The Log and website.
