NMMA reports boost in outboard engine shipments

Aside from a dip last June and December, U.S. outboard engine wholesale shipments for the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s control group of manufacturers have grown year over year for the last 23 months.

For the rolling 12 months through March, shipments were up 5.1 percent year over year. Corresponding dollars were up 10.2 percent.

Total retail sales, based on warranty card registrations, rose 8.8 percent, up slightly from the previous month.
