Yacht Exports said that last month it became the first U.S.-based boat shipping company to transport and deliver a heavy-lift yacht from Italy to Peru.

The 51-foot M/Y Cranchi Atlantique was loaded and successfully delivered on a direct sailing from Livorno to Callao. Yacht Exports said the sailing is one of a number of weekly sailings that are available only at the southeast Florida-based boat-shipping company.

Yacht Exports said the yacht was lifted smoothly onto the carrier, using the company’s state-of-the-art loading equipment, then cradled and fastened securely. The 30,000-pound vessel would remain there until it was discharged 30 days later.

Yacht Exports said it also handled all of the logistics services required for the job, including the transport by truck of the disassembled boat shipping cradle from the U.K. to the Port of Livorno, the assembly of the custom-built cradle at the port, captain services and boat shipping insurance.
