Rhode Island show set for this weekend

Posted on

The Rhode Island Boat Show takes place Saturday and Sunday in four locations — Bristol, Jamestown, Warwick and Wakefield.

The two-day event is Rhode Island’s largest spring in-water show. It features sailboats and powerboats, as well as on-the-water clinics for novices and experts on powerboating and sailing. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

Manufacturers displaying new sailboats include Beneteau, C&C, Hunter, J Boat, Pearson and Tartan.

Powerboat builders include Tiara, Hunt, MJM, Monterey, Vanquish, Sailfish, Silverton and Bayliner.

Admission is free, and the organizer and owner, Rhode Island Marine Trade Association, is touting the state’s no-sales-tax policy on boats and boating services.
