Taylor Made Systems names regional sales manager

Posted on

Taylor Made Systems said it named Craig Zirkelbach regional sales manager and he will represent Taylor Made and its Ameritex Fabric Systems subsidiary in the southeastern United States.

Zirkelbach spent nearly 10 years as an executive at Ameritex Technologies before it merged with Taylor Made. He was vice president of business development and plant manager of Ameritex’s North Carolina facility before leaving in early 2009 to pursue opportunities in the construction industry.

“Craig is no stranger to the marine industry, and he brings with him excellent customer relationship skills, along with extensive knowledge and innovative thinking regarding both canvas and windshield products,” Taylor Made vice president of sales and marketing Michael J. Oathout said in a statement. “We look forward to having him back as part of our team, as Taylor Made and Ameritex continue to push innovation in our respective markets.”

Zirkelbach’s regional sales office will be based in Simpsonville, S.C., and his clientele will include the many boatbuilders in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and the surrounding areas.

Zirkelbach’s hiring comes on the heels of another announcement: the impending retirement of industry veteran Don Puckett. Zirkelbach will work alongside Puckett until he retires on Oct. 1.

“Don has been a tremendous employee for Taylor Made Systems ever since he first came to work for us in July of 1999,” Oathout said. “His customer-first attitude exemplifies Taylor Made’s firm commitment to the quality of service we provide. We couldn’t ask for a better representative for our brand. Don has worked hard all of his career and has earned the opportunity to enjoy more time with his family. We wish him the best.”
