Bellingham Marine names VP of special projectsPosted on
Bellingham Marine general manager Jesse Ellenz was named vice president of special projects.
The appointment was effective May 15, but Ellenz will remain general manager of the company’s Northwest division until a suitable replacement can be found.
In addition to his current duties, he will assume day-to-day oversight of the company’s efforts to expand its reach into projects beyond the typical marina market.
“Jesse has a strong construction background and an incredible amount of experience working on unique, one-off projects; we are excited to have him in this position,” Bellingham Marine president Everett Babbitt said in a statement. “He has an exceptional understanding of the challenges that often plague these types of projects and how to approach the design, as well as the constructability, to ensure their success.”
Ellenz joined Bellingham in 2006 as a project manager. He has more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry and has a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Central Washington University. Prior to joining Bellingham, he worked in the commercial and heavy civil segments of the construction industry.
