Rec Boat Holdings debuts 16-foot Scarab jetboat

Posted on

Rec Boat Holdings introduced the next model in the new Scarab jetboat line, entering the largely untapped 16-foot category.

The Scarab 165, powered by the Rotax 4-TEC jet propulsion system, measures 15 feet, 9 inches, and comes in three configurations, starting at $19,998 — the 150-hp 165 (standard); the 250-hp 165 HO; and the 250-hp 165 HO Impulse.

The Scarab 165 seats five and comes standard with features that include an extended low-profile swim platform with a reboarding ladder, ski tow and custom-matched trailer.

For those who want to take it up a notch, upgrades include a premium sound system with four Kicker lighted speakers, a custom wakeboard tower and a digital speed control package (speed, ECO, cruise and docking mode).

“The new Scarab 165 performs like a go-cart on the water,” Rec Boat Holdings group president Roch Lambert said in a statement. “The proven Rotax power is the perfect match for this hull. It is a fun driving boat while also a thoughtfully designed boat for the entire family — the perfect complement to our growing Scarab line of jetboats.”

COOL!!The speedster was the most fun of any of the jetboats in the industry due to its horsepower to weight ratio, this boat with a 250 hp 4-tec this should bring the fun of a pwc into boating; hope its got a scuppered deck!
