Boatsetter names former Rec Boat Holdings president to advisory board

Posted on

Peer-to-peer boat company Boatsetter added Roch Lambert to its corporate advisory board.

Lambert was most recently president of Rec Boat Holdings, the parent company of Four Winns, Glastron, Scarab and Wellcraft boats, which were purchased out of bankruptcy from Genmar by Platinum Equity Group in 2010. The brands were then sold to the Beneteau Group in 2014. Lambert is credited with rebuilding the company from bankruptcy.

In his new advisory position, Lambert will focus on developing new partnerships while connecting with other boat manufacturers and organizations. He also will assist Boatsetter’s continuing expansion and help increase operational efficiency.

Since merging with Cruzin in 2015, Boatsetter has expanded into new markets.

“We are thrilled to have Roch join the Boatsetter family,” Boatsetter CEO Jackie Baumgarten said in a statement. “He brings a wealth of unique industry insight, which will allow us to further improve our unrivaled platform. Boatsetter is the world’s No. 1 boat rental community for connecting boat owners, Coast Guard-licensed captains and those interested in enjoying time on the water. Adding Roch’s expertise will allow us to become even better.”

Boatsetter said Lambert has more than 22 years of experience in the boating industry. He previously served at the executive level with Bombardier Recreational Products and BRP U.S.
