CRN moves 259-foot megayacht at Italian boatyardPosted on
CRN said it recently relocated a new 259-foot megayacht that will become the second-largest yacht the Ancona, Italy, shipyard has built.
CRN is the shipbuilder and Italian brand part of the Ferretti Group that specializes in the construction of custom steel and light aluminum alloy yachts.
The new megayacht weighs more than 1,000 tons. It was moved about 2,600 feet over two hours from one hangar to another.
The megayacht — hull No. 135 — was designed by CRN’s technical department in cooperation with the Studio Zuccon International Project, which designed its exteriors, and with Studio Laura Sessa, which took care of the interior design.
Besides the M/Y CRN 135, three other superyachts are under construction at the Ancona shipyard: the soon-to-be-launched 242-foot M/Y CRN; the 164-foot M/Y CRN Superconero; and the 203-foot MY CRN 137.
