ICOMIA boatbuilder forum set for German showPosted on
ICOMIA plans to hold a free seminar Jan. 26 at boot Düsseldorf.
The council said the ICOMIA Boatbuilders’ Forum, which will be held from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., should be relevant to builders, service yards, authorities and coatings applicators that want to learn more about RCD compliance and the sustainable use of antifouling paints.
As part of the forum, the International Council of Marine Industry Associations will launch its new technical file generator, a template the council said makes RCD compliance easy. The new online template will allow users to tailor technical construction files in detail, specifying boat size, design category and installation.
It also will feature a traveling seminar — the ICOMIA antifouling workshop — during which attendees can join a discussion about factors that influence the composition of antifoulings and how they will perform in the future.
The forum will be held in Room 1 of the show’s CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf Süd. Delegates will require a boat show visitor ticket to get into the CCD.
Boot Düsseldorf will run from Jan. 21-29.
