Bertram Yachts adds three dealers

Bertram Yachts said it added three new dealers ahead of the Miami boat shows.

They are Total Yacht Sales, which has sales and service locations in Connecticut, New Jersey and Annapolis, Md.; Gulf Shores Powersports Inc., which has two locations in Orange Beach Ala., including a new yacht sales office at the Wharf Marina; and Wally Castro Marine, a full-service boatyard in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Bertram said Castro is one of the largest dealerships in the Caribbean. Three generations of the Castro family have represented Bertram over the years.

“It is great to be working with some of the finest dealers in the United States,” Bertram vice president of sales Tommy Thompson said in a statement. “These new partners are committed to our vision of the new Bertram. Their enthusiasm for the brand and their resources to sell and service our boats is unmatched. The interest in the new 35 is incredible. We want to make sure our customers are well served.”

The new dealers will complement Bertram’s Southern sales offices in Fort Lauderdale and its headquarters in Tampa. The company said they will anchor Bertram’s strong international dealer network and ensure that customers are properly serviced throughout the United States.

“The timing of these appointments is perfect as we prepare for the Miami Boat show,” Bertram CEO Peter Truslow said. “Our new Bertram 35 is in production at our new Yard in Tampa. Development is underway on more Bertram models. I know the staffs of each of these operations; they are great additions to the Bertram family. They will help us grow the company in the years ahead.”

Bertram said it will have two 35-footers on display in Miami. Hull No. 1, Moppie, will be at Yachts Miami Beach on Collins Avenue (space No. 754), and boat No. 2, Screaming Eagle, will be at slip VK-186 at the Miami International Boat Show on Virginia Key.

Screaming Eagle will be available for sea trials during the show. The boat features all-new Caterpillar C7.1 engines.
