The International Marina & Boatyard Conference, produced by the Association of Marina Industries, will move to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans next year for the show’s 16th annual conference.

The Morial Convention Center is ranked among the nation’s top facilities and is only 20 minutes from Louis Armstrong International Airport, which hosts affordable and convenient direct flights from cities around the globe, AMI said.

The IMBC’s host hotel, the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel, is within walking distance of the Morial Convention Center and the French Quarter, where IMBC participants will find award-winning cuisine, world-famous music and rich historical culture. For those who wish to venture around the city, the hotel is at trolley and ferry stops.

“New Orleans is a spectacular backdrop for our conference and will provide inspiration for new content and field trips,” IMBC coordinator Kayce Florio said in a statement. “The city will be kicking off its 300th anniversary celebration while IMBC is there, as well. It’s going to be an exciting time for all.”

Next year’s show will run Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2018.

The IMBC also released its list of CMM and CMO award recipients.

“This award ceremony and this year’s 25th anniversary celebration are part of many networking events we hold for CMMs and CMOs,” IMI training coordinator Merritt Alves said in a separate statement.

“IMI has been bringing marina professionals together for decades so we can all build our industry through common experiences, shared information and mentorship programs.”
