Taylor Made Group names new president and COO

Dennis Flint, chairman and CEO of The Taylor Made Group, said Jason Pajonk-Taylor was named president and chief operating officer of the company.

President and CEO Andrew Hider resigned, effective immediately.

The company also named David Karpinski president of Taylor Made Products, filling the position Pajonk-Taylor left vacant.

Pajonk-Taylor began his career at Taylor Made in 1993, working in Templemore, Ireland, as plant manager for that facility’s marine windshield business unit. In 1996 he returned to the United States to join Taylor Made Products, the company’s aftermarket accessories division based in Gloversville, N.Y.

He has been president of Taylor Made Products since 2004, rising from prior positions as vice president of sales and marketing and product manager.

Pajonk-Taylor was chairman of the board of the National Marine Manufacturers Association from 2010-12 and chairman of the board of the Accessory Manufacturing Division from 2006-08. He remains active in the NMMA.

He has a bachelor’s degree in management from Bentley University and lives in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where, along with his three children, he is an avid boater and fisherman.

“Jason has long been a key member of our management team,” Flint said in a statement. “His strong business acumen will be a tremendous asset in his new role as president and COO, and we are thrilled to promote him to this important position. We wish Andrew all the best as he leaves Taylor Made to pursue other goals.”

Karpinski joined Taylor Made Products in 1993 as Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager. From 1994-97 he was national sales manager of the hardware division. He has been vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Made Products since 1998.

“David’s experience directing worldwide independent rep organizations, creating branding and advertising programs and managing new product and category introductions will serve him well as president of Taylor Made Products,” Flint said.
