Xquisite Yachts will showcase its new X5 Sail at Strictly Sail Miami, part of the Miami International Boat Show, which will take place Feb. 16-20 at Miamarina at Bayside.

The 50-foot luxury cruising catamaran is getting attention for its innovative design, as well as its overall performance.

“This yacht is built with luxury in mind in a boutique boatyard that still honors the tradition of master craftsmanship with fusion of modern CAD/CNC technologies and vacuum resin infusion,” the boatbuilder said. “The X5 Sail is probably the best equipped 50-foot catamaran on the market, with powerful twin 80-hp Yanmar engines, generator, air conditioning, water maker, ice maker, washing machine and digital switching as standard.”

“The number of cats at this year’s show is unbelievable,” Strictly Sail Miami show manager Kevin Murphy told Trade Only Today. “We couldn’t be more excited to feature brands like Xquisite, who are bringing their best-in-class cats to showcase to the world. Anyone into sailing is going to have a blast seeing these boats up close.”

Why would you install 80 hp engines in a semi displacement 50 hull it is never going to plane and just burn a lot more fuel increase the cost of the engines the installation size of the exhaust hose and muffler the shaft prop and strut and never run/cruise at recommended RPM I would bet 55 hp would be more than large enough to achieve all the engine running speed you are going to get from a multi hull with less weight fuel burn and size to work around Sounds like a new company with green engineers
