Mercury Marine said several new sales and distribution centers will open in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.

Some of the new stores have opened and others will open later this year.

The expanded network allows Mercury to expand in Mexico, Martinique, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Puerto Rico.

“Offering these types of facilities and services to our customers is a testament to the strong partnership we have developed with our dealer network in the region,” Mercury Marine Caribbean, Mexico and Central America sales and service director Joaquin Soto said in a statement. “Our goal is to become more diversified to serve key markets in this region, and these stores will allow Mercury to grow its presence in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.”

The new stores include Auto Marina in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, and Blue, in Cancun, Mexico, both of which opened in February; Maximarine SAS, with six locations on the Atlantic Coast in Martinique, opening this month; Dismar in Guatemala City, which opened in February; Aquamar in Baja California, Mexico, opening this month; Corinka in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, opening in May; Powerboat Marine LLC in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a store expansion slated for May; Equipesca de Oregon SA de CV in La Paz, Mexico, which opened in December; and Comeca in San Jose, Guatemala, which also opened in December.
