Palm Beach show opens with industry rolloutsPosted on
MarineMax introduced William Smith as vice president of the MarineMax Superyachts division at the Palm Beach International Boat Show.
This new division is part of the continued focus MarineMax has in providing services to its yacht customers. The company launched a yacht site in the fall of 2015 and added MarineMax Private Yacht Charters in the spring of 2016.
The company is presenting the full lineup of Sea Ray models, including the L-Class — the L650 Fly, L650, L590 and L590 Fly — the new Sundancer 460, and the SLX 280 and 310 Outboard at the Palm Beach show. The show opened Thursday and will continue through Sunday.
MarineMax also brought the Azimut Verve 40 and 72 Flybridge, the Ocean Alexander new 120 Megayacht and the 70 Evolution, the Galeon 430 Skydeck and 420 Fly, Boston Whaler’s new 380 Outrage, and Scout’s new 380 LXF.
“The entire MarineMax team pulls out all the stops to present our entire lineup of the most celebrated brands in the industry. We are confident that our customers will be overwhelmed by the staggering amount of innovation and quality that our brands bring to the boating community. See you at the show,” MarineMax chief revenue officer Chuck Cashman said in a statement.
The Ferretti Group said it is presenting eight new models by Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Riva and Custom Line — the Ferretti Yachts 450 and Ferretti Yachts 700; the Pershing 62 and Pershing 70; the Aquariva Super; the 63-foot Virtus and 88-foot Domino Super by Riva; and the Navetta 28 by Custom Line.
Sunseeker USA Sales Co and Rick Obey Associates are showcasing the 95 Yacht and the new 68 Sport Yacht MKII, which are making their U.S. debuts. Completing the Sunseeker lineup at the show is the Predator 68 and Predator 57, the 75 Yacht and the Manhattan 65.
“Following the success of the Miami [International] Boat Show in February, we are very much looking forward to the Palm Beach International Boat Show,” Sunseeker USA president Sean Robertson said in a statement.
“It will be the U.S. debut of the 95 Yacht, and we are really looking forward to introducing this stunning yacht to our visitors at the show. The new 95 Yacht’s design has evolved to perfectly emulate the new design direction of our larger models, yet it still remains unmistakably a Sunseeker. Over 30 percent of our business is from the Americas; it is therefore really important that we continue to exhibit at the U.S. shows and invest into developing our exceptional yacht range available for our U.S. customers.”
The Palm Beach show is one of the largest shows in the country. It features more than $1.2 billion worth of boats, yachts, and accessories from the world’s leading marine manufacturers.
