Suntex Marinas signs deal on safety training

Suntex Marinas said it chose MYMIC Training Technologies for the development and oversight of a corporate safety program.

Suntex said MYMIC will implement a program of consistent employee training and safety awareness across all Suntex Marina locations. The program will include MYMIC’s online marina safety training, instructor-led training to certify employees that operate forklifts and Travelifts, and site safety audits.

“Suntex strives to enhance the customer experience at [all] of their properties,” MYMIC director of marina safety programs Robert Smith said in a statement. “This agreement fully supports that vision. A well-trained staff and safe work environment is something the customers will notice very quickly. In addition, this program is designed to reduce the potential for workplace injuries and ensure regulatory compliance.”

“Suntex places the safety of customers and employees first on our list of operating priorities,” Suntex Marinas Northeast regional manager Tom Delotto said. “By linking already established internal systems with cutting-edge MYMIC overview programs, we will equip property managers with every modern safety and control process available.”
