YBAA urges members to attend American Boating Congress

Yacht Brokers Association of America executive director Vin Petrella is urging association members to attend the American Boating Congress in Washington, D.C., this year.

The YBAA has been an ABC co-host since 2013. Registration is open for the event, which will be held May 15-17.

Petrella said in a letter to members that last year he and YBAA president David Benson were the association’s only representatives at ABC.

Petrella said he and 2017 YBAA president Jean-Pierre Skov will attend “and we would love to see a much larger turnout of YBAA members, as it is important that we are visible as active participants at ABC.

“ABC is the premier legislative event for the entire recreational marine industry and will provide you with insight and critical knowledge about regulatory and legislative issues that affect the recreational marine industry,” Petrella added.

“It is your opportunity to see firsthand what happens in Washington and how you can make a difference by having your voice heard on issues that affect you and your business. ABC provides you with the ability to meet face to face with your legislators and their staffs.”
