Volvo Penta of the Americas said it appointed Martin Bjuve as vice president for customer support and training.

The company said Bjuve will provide strategic direction and management for support and product training for dealers and customers across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

Bjuve has served as vice president and chief financial officer at Volvo Penta of the Americas since 2013. He also has led key manufacturing investment projects in the Americas.

Bjuve has been with Volvo Penta since 2003 in positions of responsibility in finance, parts pricing and logistics, as well as parts and engine distribution.

Before he moved to the United States, Bjuve was chief financial officer for Region Europe, based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Prior to that he headed the sales of parts and distribution development in the Nordic countries.

“Martin has a strong drive for results and brings an in-depth knowledge of our market and commercial operations, which will serve him and his team well in his new role,” Volvo Penta of the Americas president Ron Huibers said in a statement.

“His appointment is a reflection of our strong commitment to sustaining the highest levels of support to our dealer network, which is one of the hallmarks of our business strategy at Volvo Penta of the Americas.”
