Vesper Marine names VP and opens N.J. officePosted on
New Zealand-based marine safety products manufacturer Vesper Marine said it named a vice president of sales for the Americas and opened a new U.S. office in New Jersey.
The company said the new vice president, Jason Young, will focus on customer service and new account development.
Vesper Marine also said Richards Marine Marketing, a sales and marketing group, will represent the company on the West Coast and in Canadian markets. Its principal, Mark Richards, will build sales for Vesper Marine’s smartAIS transponders through his network of boatbuilders, distributors and dealers.
The move follows the announcement of Wickes Marine as the sales and marketing representative group for Vesper Marine on the East Coast.
Vesper Marine said Young is an industry veteran and boater who has worked as a technical and installation expert, sales and distribution professional.
“Jason’s incredible knowledge and extensive experience in the marine industry will be a valuable resource for customers in the world’s largest marine market,” Vesper Marine CEO Jeff Robbins said in a statement.
“We are also extremely happy with our partnership with Richards Marine Marketing on the West Coast and Wickes Marine on the East Coast. With this infrastructure in place and through their collective efforts, we will be able to greatly accelerate the growth of our smartAIS products in this vital market.”
Vesper said Richards Marine Marketing has a strong track record of delivering sales results for its manufacturers and is committed to providing product and industry knowledge, successful marketing strategies and exceptional customer support to Vesper Marine dealers on the West Coast.
“As Vesper Marine’s sales and marketing partner, we will work together to make Vesper Marine AIS products the choice for boaters in our region,” Richards said.
