Cranchi Yachts unveils drawings for 2017-18 modelsPosted on
Cranchi Yachts and designer Christian Grande unveiled conceptual drawings of new and redesigned models for the 2017-18 season.
The newest Cranchi is the XT36, and the builder said it combines the practicality of a trawler and the performance of a sport cruiser in a boat that measures less than 33 feet.
On the main deck, beneath the hardtop, is a protected area with a convertible sofa and a galley. The sliding glass door can close off the area when the need arises. When the door is opened, the XT36 has a large cockpit that’s on the same level as the enclosed area, creating a large living space.
The cockpit features an entertainment center with a grill and sink. There’s easy access to the aft platform and the bow on side passageways. Forward, the boat has a sunbathing area, and there’s a second spot for laying out on top of the pilothouse when the XT36 is at rest.
Below decks, the boat’s lower deck is available in two layouts. An owner can opt for two cabins and two private heads or three staterooms and one head.
The second project from Grande and Cranchi is the Eco Trawler 53, which is being restyled to optimize space and comfort on the flybridge yacht.
“The interior styling represents a great step ahead, with the introduction of different materials like wood, leather and glass in contracts with each other, accentuating their identity and creating visual suggestions,” Grande said.
In addition to the XT36 and Eco Trawler 53, the Cranchi yard is working on long-term projects that include the Magnifica 78.
“Our shipyards are recognized for production of leisure boats with the highest level of automation in the world and are the ideal place to shape the Magnifica 78, a yacht with revolutionary features that will emerge in the coming seasons,” Guido Cranchi, vice president of Cantieri Nautico Cranchi, said in a statement.
