Viking Yachts will debut 93-footer at Fort Lauderdale showPosted on
Viking Yachts said its largest boat to date — the Viking 93 Motor Yacht — will have its world premiere at the Nov.1-5 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The builder said stainless-steel gas pistons hold open the two centerline foredeck hatches, revealing storage space. The area may also be closed and topped with sunpads.
Teardrop hull-side windows span the length of the privately accessed, full-beam master stateroom — one of five staterooms on the boat.
The enclosed bridge, accessed from the salon and lower after deck, showcases a helm designed to provide extra visibility.
Navigation and communication systems from Viking subsidiary Atlantic Marine Electronics are offered to all Viking owners.
The salon includes an L-shaped lounge and cocktail table, a wet bar and a flat screen TV. A sliding, stainless-steel framed glass door opens to the upper after deck with additional bar stool seating, an L-shape dinette, a grilling area and open space for lounges and deck chairs.
With the props, running gear and rudders mounted inside the hull pockets, draft is maximized and drag is reduced, the company said.
The hydraulic lifts for the massive swim platform are mounted outboard of each pocket.
Viking will hold a private unveiling of the new yacht at a dealer meeting and sea trial event from Sept. 11-13 in Atlantic City, N.J.
