Suntex Marina Investors LLC said it purchased two marinas on Don Pedro Lake in Tuolumne County, Calif. — Lake Don Pedro Marina and Moccasin Point Marina.

The acquisitions are the latest in a series that Suntex has made as it expands its portfolio. Suntex has 45 marinas in California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.

“The Suntex portfolio is continuing to expand to offer members exceptional value and top-notch facilities in the most sought-after vacation locations around the country,” Suntex founding principal Bryan Redmond said in a statement.

“By increasing our list of properties to California, we aim to give visitors to this beautiful part of the country the highest-quality experience that comes from well-maintained facilities in pristine locations with a staff dedicated to offering superior customer service.”

Suntex is based in Dallas and Lake Don Pedro is in the Sierra Nevada foothills, about a two-hour drive from San Francisco. The lake has nearly 160 miles of shoreline and is the sixth-largest reservoir in California.

Lake Don Pedro Marina on the western shore is a full-service facility that provides fuel, fishing tackle, hats and more. The marina has houseboat rentals with craft ranging from 50 to 70 feet, plus ski boat, personal watercraft and fishing boat rentals.

Moccasin Point Marina is on the eastern side of the lake and offers watercraft rentals, including kayaks and paddleboards, and slip rentals; limited food and beverage is available and there is a convenience store.
