Innovation awards and other honors

Nineteen products were recognized for technical advancement at the 24th annual International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition & Conference Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in Tampa, Fla. The Innovation Awards, selected from 13 categories, were handed out at the opening-day IBEX industry breakfast. A record-setting 88 products were entered in the competition this year, a 43 percent increase from 2013.

Joe Burke was the driving force behind the exhibit. Leading electronics firms combined to demonstrate the interconnectivity of their independent systems.

Cloudy — and cutting-edge cool
