Cabo Yachts expanded Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales’ role on the East Coast;Viking Yachts recently concluded its annual domestic and international dealer conference.
Cabo Yachts of Adelanto, Calif., expanded Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales’ role in representing the Cabo line-up on the East Coast.
The partnership began with JBYS being named Cabo’s exclusive dealer for South Carolina in fall 2006. Effective immediately, JarrettBay will also represent Cabo Yachts in North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better partner in South Carolina, and are excited to have JarrettBay expand its role in representing Cabo Yachts within this important region,” said Austin Rothbard, Cabo Yachts president, in a statement.
JarrettBay‘s primary sales office in Beaufort, N.C. will serve as a Cabo commissioning facility providing service and warranty repairs for Cabo owners in the region. JBYS also has sales offices in Charleston, S.C.; Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; Virginia Beach, Va.; Baltimore; and Ocean City, N.J.

Viking Yachts of New Gretna, N.J., recently concluded its annual domestic and international dealer conference at the Trump Marina in Atlantic City.
Patrick Healey, executive vice-president, told dealers they could expect to see four new models at the February 2009 Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show. They include the new Viking 82 Convertible, which already has 13 signed contracts; a new 57 Convertible; a new 46 Convertible and a new 46 Open Express. Drawings of two smaller models, a pair of 42-footers, were also shown and are slated for delivery in late 2009. The smaller models will be offered with Volvo Penta’s IPS drive system.
Dealers also received presentations from Viking sister companies, Palm BeachTowers and Atlantic Marine Electronics, which do most of the OEM installations on new Vikings, as well as updates and upgrades on existing Vikings.
An update was given on Viking’s two service centers in Riviera Beach, Fla., along with a discussion by representatives from G.E. Capital Solutions, Caterpillar, MAN and MTU.
The three-day event also featured ocean sea trials aboard seven new Vikings and one-on-one meetings with dealer principals and Viking sales staff.
